Retail-Facing Digital Dashboard & Media Distribution System

Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.

The Challenge

Working in close collaboration with Schwab's internal technology, marketing and merchandising teams (CSA), we set out to develop a .NET and Flash-powered media distribution system to allow more timely and effective communications between the Schwab team members and customers. Merchandising managers at the corporate level want to communicate with and monitor activity in local branches, as well as control and administer consumer-facing offers and market data.

Aviamedia Approach

We designed and developed a centrally-controlled media management and distribution system utilitizing 1st generation plasmas and lcd screens, along with a web-based content management console. We created live-data-driven animated marketing content, as well as a mobile presentation utilities to control the system (wireless remote).

The Results

Pilot systems were deployed at 300 Park Avenue in New York City and in SCH headquarters in San Francisco, as showcase examples of the new marketing and merchandising direction for the company. Aviamedia partners were onsite for the installation and debugging of the system, and provided ongoing support as content was added and managed.

Benefits Summary

Customers get actionable, engaging information which includes real-time market data. Branches communicate real-time messaging inside the branch and to street traffic. Branches are able to offer training and other multi-uses of their HD displays, simultaneously. Management can remotely audit and administer system content from their workstations, saving significant cost in merchandising and branch management.
