The Challenge
Give farm management the ability to more effectively plan their annual production schedule including planting, harvesting, packaging, cooling and shipping.
Aviamedia Approach
We conducted extensive interviews to build a model of the business and its processes, as well as to develop an understanding of how 'farmer knowledge' comes into play when making planting/harvesting decisions during the year. Then we utilized Visual Studio and Windows Presentation Foundation to create an easy-to-use dashboard and planning suite.
The Results
A web-based, graphical crop production suite with advanced rules and logic to give farm managers the ability to quickly review production allocation, and to test scenarios and optimize their planting calendar.
